OnlineFrom the editorThe pioneering spirit and determination of many great men and women are the foundation upon which the heritage and history of Oklahoma were built. It is that same dedication and drive passed on generation after generation that has allowed Oklahoma A&M University to evolve over time into Oklahoma State University. Although agriculture has been a basic staple of life since the beginning of human nature and of the university since its conception, it too has evolved to incorporate unimaginable areas of study. In this issue of the Cowboy Journal, we focused on those newly developed areas, the future of agriculture and the people who inspire others to strive for excellence. And as the world embraces a technologically advancing future, we must also remember the past for what it once was to many and what it always will be in the hearts and souls of the people who lived it. For it is from our past that we extract the lessons
of life in preparation for a future of endless possibilities.
